Downtown Diner of Berlin, OH

"We just had a great dinner at the Downtown Diner in Berlin. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. I had a burger and my wife had the fried fish. Both dinners were excellent."

"A nice simple diner. I tried onion chips that came with a spicy ranch, and also got the cheeseburger with fries. The portions are very big so go in hungry you will not be disappointed. The fries are very tasty and the burger was huge. Also tried the cherry crumble pie which was nice also. This is a simple diner so don't expect a Gordon Ramsey like experience. The value for the meal is right there considering the portions. Good food and nice folks plus your connected right to the antique mall."

"We have been to Berlin literally hundreds of times in the last 20 years but we have never been to the Downtown Diner. I realized today how much we have been missing! We got appetizers of fried green beans and mac and cheese bites. They were very good and the portions were large enough for 3 people to share with leftovers. My son got the two coney dogs with fries and he loved them. The word “inhaled” came to mind. My daughter got the brisket burger. It came with a large hamburger, 2 giant center slices of bacon (perfectly crispy). Cheddar cheese, and a good helping of “in house” smoked brisket. The word “DIVINE” was used numerous times. I got the chicken wings and onion rings. They too were wonderful. The service was so attentive and accommodating. We had Rachel and even though she was quite busy she made us feel like we were her only customer. We will definitely be back!"

"I town for furniture shopping and looked for a good dinner spot. This place had high marks and was close to the hotel. Thursday at 6pm so got parking out front. The staff were great, seated is quick and server was very attentive. Menu is simple and everything looked good. We had four in our group and placed the orders. Food comes out fast and was hot and tasty. For being a diner, the food was elevated for sure and well worth the money. The onion petals were light, ceispy and not oily with a great homemade ranch dressing. The chicken tenders and chicken salad used gerber chicken and was juicy and tasty. The club sandwich was stuffed with turkey and crispy bacon and comes with fries. The chili was also a hit. Highly recommend this place for dinner, great service, good food that comes out fast and hot and very reasonably priced."

"Great food - worth the wait. Chicken wrap and burgers today. Real fries and sweet potato fries were all hot, delicious and served quickly. While we waited we perused the menu and had our order ready when we were seated."

"Truly one of the best kept secrets of downtown Berlin. Not just another diner. For lunch we experienced their Burger Bar. I hadn’t even known about it. Dave and Ina serve an incredible cuisine here. With the two flavors of boneless wings, there were five different meats on the bar. Incredibly grilled to perfect! Wow. So impressed. On the bar, along with salad: Burgers. Boneless wings. Pulled pork. Breaded cod. Highly recommended. (I’ve been here to experience their breakfast bar. There’s even freshly grilled sausage on the breakfast bar."

"When we stayed in Berlin, we ate here nearly every day. My husband loved the brisket and the Saturday morning breakfast sausage off the grill! The smash burger was great, fries were yummy and the pancakes were good too. Downtown Diner will definitely be on our list of places to visit again when we come back to Berlin."
